Fashion, food, lifestyle and culture in St Albans
I have the hottest ticket in town this week. The Dressing Room, St Albans’ boutique extraordinaire, is holding a Fashion Show in aid of St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge.
Twelve models will strut their stuff on Thursday (11th Oct 2012) night showcasing this season’s must haves, from The Dressing Room’s top brands. Having previously held the show in store, Deryane and her girls wanted to up the scale of this year’s event to accommodate the huge demand for tickets! Rumour has it that they sold out completely in only a matter of hours.
The twelve lucky models are made up of volunteers from the Women’s Refuge, students from the Fashion course at Oaklands College and close friends and family of The Dressing Room crew, bringing the community together to celebrate a mutual love of fashion and to support such a worthy cause.
But, the party doesn’t end there. After the show, guests are invited back to The Dressing Room, which will stay open late especially to treat it’s guests to an exclusive 15% discount in store on all the clothes they so coveted on the catwalk.
My gorgeous spies on the inside have told me to expect a mixture of casual elegance, some signature cosy knits and a dusting of evening glamour. The show was styled by Deryane and her fabulous in-house styling team. The finishing touches in hair and makeup are generously donated by The Crazy Angels and Grey’s Hairdressing.
I will try and squeeze in a cheeky podcast backstage before the show begins and report back on all the glamour at Ms Tadd’s fabulous event.
Eat your heart out Paris!
